Podcast #001 – Medications in Equine Dentistry

Medications in Equine Dentistry are essential to understand as to why they are used and more importantly, why they are often not used properly. One of the buttons you can push on me is this – I really dislike using the terms “tranq” and “sedate.” These imply that the cause is the human working on the horse. I prefer the term “medicate” as this implies there is thought and reasoning behind the selection of the medications for the individual horse they are being used on.
