Geoff Tucker
DVM, Founder of The Horse's Advocate
Geoff is also known as “Doc T.” Geoff is, at the root level, a teacher and he creates all the content that you see. His passion is to convey to horse owners a better understanding of how they work by writing the missing horse owner’s manual. He started with horses in 1973, married Kathy, a “barn girl,” in 1977 and has been working with her since. He has been an over the road truck driver (18 wheelers) and SCUBA diver. His interests are photography, computers, technology and of course, horses.

Matthew Tucker
Information and Technology
Matthew works on the back end of all the websites you see. He also does all the marketing. You see his “flavor” in the design of the sites, the “flair” of the marketing pages and the “diligence” of the emails sent to update you. While he is not visible to everyone, his presence is in everything you see and receive from The Equine Practice. And he does this all from Thailand where he lives. He loves SCUBA diving, cooking (he is a trained chef), craft beer and computers / technology. His passion is perfection in what he sets his mind to which we appreciate on the pages of this site.
Like most of you Kathy has been in love with horses all of her life. She graduated from Delhi with a degree in Horse Husbandry and then worked on a Thoroughbred farm in Ocala. Later she graduated from Cornell Ag School, during and after which, she work for Cornell’s Equine Research Farm. Kathy & Geoff operated their own breeding farm in Freeville, NY for many years. She now works as the office manager for The EquinePractice. Kathy’s main love is endurance riding, Arabians & Airedale Terriers!
