A place to keep equipment and trailers from exposure to weather is necessary on any farm.  This protection from the elements will extend the working life and your investment in these things will be extended in time.  Just as important is the organization of equipment away from horses because on any farm, there is potential for a horse to get loose and exposed equipment would pose danger to them.

I have seen an extra stall used for this purpose and I have also seen specialized buildings built to contain equipment and trailers.  I have seen organizational spaces set on walls and nails hammered into trees to hang things.  Whatever works to protect them and your horses as well as organize things for quick access and efficiency to maintain your barn will work for equipment and trailer storage.  Here are some ideas
